Random Post – Where do we begin? 01/25/2010

We are trying to figure out where to begin.  We love feedback on these posts so I know what all of you want.  Now that we are set up, we are beginning to search out relationships with tri 4experienced runners, cyclists & swimmers to bring us the additional information we will need to train effectively.   The Guy & I are introducing running as a means of cross-training to increase strength & performance with our cycling.   We are looking forward to increasing our running & swimming skills so we can complete some triathlons in 2010.

tri 1For those of you that are reading this and are already performing triathlons, I want you to join us.  All of the Tri activities we will be putting together will provide good training opportunities for experiences triathletes as well as beginners.  As an experienced triathlete, you have so much wisdom & knowledge to contribute.  Also, I have found through my cycling that giving back opens up the flow & I get as much back as I put out, sometimes more.  Sometimes through teaching I have seen my skill increase.

Here are the choices:  Pick & train for an upcoming 5K run.  Pick & train for a Sprint Triathlon.  Or we could do both, with the 5K run coming earlier than the Sprint Tri.  If you have any thoughts or advice on this, please post a comment or two.

We want the Tri Like A Girl group to be a success.  It will give all triathletes at all levels access to excellent training & knowledge, either free or at a really low cost.  We cannot do it without feedback, input & participation from you.

If you build it, they will come.

Going off that premise, we are building it.  Earlier in the summer, we received feedback stating it was too hot, so we waited.  The high heat is just about over.  Let’s get started

We wanna hear from ‘YOU’.

Bob Byard, a local triathlon coach, will be speaking at the clinic.  He has some really great information to share with us about tri’s.  We’re very excited to have this level of expertise available to us.  This clinic is for everyone.  If you are already participating in Tri’s, if you have wanted to get started but didn’t know how or if you’d like to learn more to see if you’d be interested.  I want all of you to join us, if you are able.  It will certainly be worth your time.

Please either contact us through the blogsite or by email & let us know if you can join us.  Tri Like A Girl will be providing snacks & drinks for everyone.  We also would like a headcount for the packets.

This is exciting – We will see everyone there!!!
